The Living Future Institute of Australia has officially evolved into Living Future Oceania, marking a significant milestone in its mission to accelerate regenerative design across the region.

Operating across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand, Living Future Oceania supports the people and projects shaping a regenerative built environment. Through programs that champion innovative buildings and healthy materials, the organisation advocates for a positive impact on both human and environmental wellbeing.

“This evolution has been thoughtful and intentionally done. Both countries produce incredible regenerative projects and work with local manufacturers committed to healthy materials. Becoming Living Future Oceania invites an even bigger opportunity to advocate collectively, learn together and strengthen our impact”

Laura Hamilton-O’Hara

Since 2012, the organisation has worked closely with industry in Australia to support projects that go beyond sustainability and demonstrate what best practice looks like in action. Now, as Living Future Oceania, they build on the strong foundation of work already underway and undertake a new era of deep collaboration across the region.

The transition is accompanied by a refreshed brand and website, reflecting Living Future Oceania’s expanded capacity, growing ambitions, and commitment to greater impact across the region.

Strengthening the organisation’s governance, the Board now welcomes Ewan Brown, Director of Tennent Brown Architects, and Tricia Love, Director of Tricia Love Consultants. Both bring deep expertise in Living Future programs and regenerative practice within the Aotearoa context.

Living Future Oceania looks forward to learning, growing, and working alongside practitioners across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand to catalyse a built environment that is socially just, culturally rich, and ecologically restorative.
